of a man
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalms 90:12
Everyday when we get up in the morning we should praise God for the life that he has given to us, because our end is nearing everyday. We often see, read and hear people who do not rise in the morning to see the day. We have to pray and praise God every morning for keeping and preserving our life. Job says that if a man dies, shall he live again?
Every man walketh in a vain show. He heapeth riches, but do not know who gathers them. Every man in his best state is vanity. Psalms 39:5,6. It is true that there is no guarantee when a man says that he will do this or that, I will do it today or tomorrow. There is no morrow for man unless God gives him. In Bihar, a judge was shot dead by his bodygaurd.
Like the psalmist who asked God, How many are the days of thy servant? This question everyone should ask God. If you think of this, your anger, your grumbling etc. will leave you as you as you dont know how long you are going to live in this world. Moses asked God to number his days. What is our prayer? Is it about trials, or your family needs? etc.
I will deliver him and I will set him on high. He shall call upon me and I will answer him says God the father if whosoever calls him to deliver them.
God blesses the righteous. He shall flourish like a palm tree, like a cedar. He shall bring forth fruit in old age and shall be fat and flourishing.
Thy testimonies are very sure. We do this every Saturday and Sunday. We praise God through testimonies. It is true that God blesses the man whom he chastenest. It is the way God teaches his law to his children when we do not obey him. Then we come and testify him.
Preach the word of God at all times. The temple of God is a place where you are rebuked and taught to be a blessing to others. Therefore the pastor has the right to preach the word, be instant in and out of season, reprove, rebuke and exhort. The psalmist says, Let the righteous smite me, it shall be kindness and excellent oil. Accept the kind rebuke, dont grumble. He is our comfort. The psalmist says when I am anxious and worried, your words comfort me.
Let us sing unto the Lord and make a joyful noise with psalms when you are worried. The pleasures of this world cannot comfort you. So let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord and our maker.
Do not go empty handed to the Lords presence. Bring an offering and come into his courts. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
The Lord is coming to judge the earth. Apostle tells us a mystery, that Jesus will come in an twinkling of an eye to gather his elect. There is no death for the soul.
Those who love the Lord hates evil. He will not sin nor will he incline to do so. He preserveth the soul of his saints. Every one has to preserve his own spirit, soul and body blameless and in all sanctity.
Only the righteous perisheth and entereth peace. He is taken away before the arrival of the evil. Good people die and no one cares. He finds peace in his rest.
So, dear children in the Lord, let us keep our soul, spirit and body in all sanctity and be ready for his coming.
