Why seek ye the living among the dead. He is not here. He is risen. Luke 24: 58
The Lord has risen. Every year, we celebrate Easter to remember that great day of Lords resurrection. What does Easter signify to us? Is it yet another day of merriment or a day of meaningfulness? Peter says, you were redeemed not through gold and silver from the tradition of your fathers (I Peter 1:18) but the very blood of Jesus Christ. To many, Easter means the traditional foods, such as Easter eggs, cakes and rich food. Does any of us have the time to ponder on the importance of Easter?
The word of God is truth. Knowing the word of God will set you free from all these traditions (John 8:32). In the beginning was the word (John 1:1). The word of God is quick and much sharper than any two edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
We are very much contended with the life we have. We do not care for others. If we do, we will stand as a testimony for Christ. There are millions of people in this world, who have not heard the word of God even once. The coming of the Lord is near. The time is running out. Therefore, shall we awake from our sleep to spread the word of God (Ephesians 5:14). For she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth (I Timothy 5:6). Living in luxury make us forget the dire need of Jesus Christ for the people who have unheard about Him.
The dead shall not praise the Lord (Psalms 115:17). Therefore, while we are yet living, shall we praise the Lord for his wonderful mercies and be a powerful witness. Joseph Arimathaea was a counselor, good and just man, He was waiting for the kingdom of God (Luke 23:50, 51). What are we waiting for today? The Kingdom of God is not to eat and drink (Romans 14:17) but to have righteousness, peace ad joy in the Holy Ghost. As we make merry, let us remember these words and work for the expansion of the kingdom of God.
Do not search for the living among the dead for he is risen. The dead traditions will not help reach the heaven but the word of God shall surely lead us to heaven. If you are blessed by this message kindly let us know, that we praise God together at firstname.lastname@example.org
