"I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth " Exodus: 34:10 (KJV)
The eyes of the Lord is upon you

"My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me". Psalms 101:6

The Lord wants the people of the nations (which includes you and me) to live with him. In the old testament we read that Enoch lived with the Lord. Do we live with him? If not what is the criteria for living with him. First, we need integrity to dwell with him. In every walk of life, we should reveal our integrity. Can our spouse, children or employer trust us? Can they trust us with their money or belongings.

The Lord expects integrity from the man he loves. Truthfulness is very important. Practice it even in the smallest trifle that will help you to be truthful in greater things. Not only you should be honest, He expects you to teach uprightness to your children and to all the members of the family (Genesis 18:19). Teach your children honesty. When they speak to us honestly learn to trust them. This will encourage them to be virtuous. Whatever we sow in their young minds, it takes root and bears fruits when they grow up. For God is pleased with those who have integrity in their hearts.

Integrity also includes being faithful to the Lord in giving HIM our time. Some are interested in politics, entertainments, education, and in many more things which attract their attention. Do we find time to worship the Lord in our busy schedules. We have to be faithful in attending church regularly, praising Him with enthusiasm, giving generously our offerings and tithes. If we do this, our Lord shall answer our prayers and grant our heart’s desires.

God said to Abraham in Genesis 17:1 that " walk before me and be thou perfect". The same Lord says to you today, "Be perfect as the Father who is in heaven is perfect" (Matthews 5:48). We might think, being perfect is impossible but Jesus when he lived in this world set himself as a role model of perfection (Colossians 1:28). He had the same temptation as we have today. But he was able to overcome them through constant prayer and communication with His Father. When we set our priorities straight then becoming perfect will be within our reach. If you give more importance to money and fame, you will be considered as a loser in the eyes of the Lord and also damage your inner man. On the other hand, if your priority is in achieving perfection, then you will constantly relate to things which makes you perfect.

Growing in all good characters will help you to dwell with the Lord (Ephesians 4:15). Be in companion of people who love the Lord. Keep your mind and thoughts pure and untarnished. The Lord tries the heart and has pleasure in uprightness (2 Chronicles 29:17). Today if your ways are not perfect mend them immediately. If you find any unholy ways that taints your character ask the Lord for forgiveness and rectify them.

Today is the day of salvation and God is speaking to you about the sins which you consider as being hidden from the world but the Lord is looking at them and warns you. Change your ways and receive mercy from Him.

May the Lord help us to change our ways and receive mercy from Him so that we may dwell with him.

May the Love of the Father, grace of His son, Jesus Christ and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with us all.
