preserves the souls of His saints
"Ye that love the Lord, hate evil; he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness."Psalms 97: 1012
The calamities of the nature like earthquake, lightning, thunder and so forth indicates Gods anger on the people of the land. The world is going towards more and more evil days. What is the way out for those who trust him. Shall we also be engulfed by these calamities? Are there no relief or remedy for us? Those who walk in the evil ways will be swallowed by all these. But there is good news for everyone who walks righteously.
In order that God save us from all these disasters, either through nature or man-made we ought to follow few simple steps which God guides us through.
Nowadays, we live in a world where it is difficult to depart from evil as everything involves corruption of mind and material things.
Our body can be protected by using good clothes, enriched food, and medicines. But our soul can be guarded only by God. If you need the security of God, you should depart from evil. Fear of God is the prime step for departing from evil (Job 28:28, Proverbs 4:27). Many times we are unable to distinguish between evil and good. When the fear of God dwells in our heart, then our conscience will tell us what we do is evil or good. Listen to it and do not restrain yourself from its voice. Read your Bible everyday and pray. David says Thy word is a lamp unto my fee, and light unto my path (Psalms 119:105). In Deuteronomy 6:24, the Lord commands us to fear Him for our good and that he might preserve us alive.
The holiness of body and mind is fundamental for a Christian living. Without holiness we will be in no way different from others. When we depart from evil, the vacant place should be filled with holiness. We have to celebrate our holiness (Psalms 97:12). When our ways are holy, those who encounter us will be touched by our lives. They should be blessed in their family, work place and declare the glory of God. The Lord shall not forsake the saints but preserves them forever (Psalms 37:28).
Departing from evil and keeping us holy will render the following blessings. The Lord shall deliver us from every evil work and preserve us unto his heavenly kingdom (II Tim 4:18).
The Lord is my light and salvation whom shall I fear? (Psalms 27:1). Are you afraid of the debts, or that your family might any moment or of your children, their education, or your job whether you will retain it or loose it or about your house whether you will redeem it from loans or lose it once for all? What are your fears and doubts today? Ask yourself and analyze your ways today. If there is anything evil in them depart from it. It may be drinking, smoking, adultery, backbiting, dishonesty in workplace or infidelity, the Lord does not approve any of these things.
If you want God to do a miracle in your life, first it should mend your ways. Are you telling that I tried quitting smoking, drinking, etc., but I am not able to overcome it. Ask the Lord for grace. He is truthful to provide you with abundant grace. Fast and pray. We fast for material things, why not we fast to keep ourselves holy. The things which you see today will all vanish one day. But what we did for the Lord alone will stand in the Judgement day.
Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you. Take courage that through your struggles he will be with you, encouraging you and you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. The prayers which you do will never be wasted they will all be answered at the right time.
May the Lord give you the grace to depart from evil and lead a holy life today and forever.
May the Love of the Father, grace of His son, Jesus Christ and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with us all.If you are blessed by this message kindly let us know, that we praise God together at firstname.lastname@example.org
