"I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth " Exodus: 34:10 (KJV)

"Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying: "And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your descendants after you." Genesis 9:8–17

God exhibits majesty, power and splendor. Throughout the Bible we read of several instances which remains a true manifestation of his character. The clouds mentioned in the Bible symbolically represent this nature.

Cloud of Covenant

Most of us know the story of Noah in which God destroys the earth by floods (Genesis 9:8–17). During the days of Noah, the earth was corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence (Genesis 6:11). God felt sad that he created the earth. He wanted to wipe out everything on the face of the earth and start a new beginning. For that he needed someone, who is willing to work according to his plans. Noah found grace in the sight of the Lord because he was righteous (Genesis 7:1). God made him build an ark and lodge in it pairs of animals and birds along with them were the sons and daughters-in-law of Noah. Only eight persons were saved out of thousands of people living on the earth. What was so special about Noah that God saved him? Because Noah was righteous. To be right with God we not only do right things, but also be in a right relationship with him. This requires putting our trust in him. Being among the most corrupt people Noah proved that he can lead a holy life. After the floods God made a covenant with Noah never to destroy the earth with flood. A covenant binds two parties together. In the God-human covenants of the Bible, God is the initiator. He is willing to commit himself before he asks a commitment from us. The commitment which God expects from us is to lead a holy and righteous life like Noah. In building the ark, Noah did what God asked him to do. he neither questioned nor doubted God’s plan, that was why he was saved from the floods. Are you willing to commit your life today to God and ask him to handle your problems. Trust Jesus and ask him to come into your heart and into your life and ask him to organise your life. To clear the mess in your life and relieve you of the entanglements. He will change you completely.

Cloud of Glory

And behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud (Exodus 16:10)

Moses and God communicated with each other as two friends and directly. The people of Israel murmured against Moses for not having anything to eat. The Lord appeared in the cloud of glory and said he would shower the food from heaven, which later the people called as "manna". The Lord said they can collect "manna" for six days and on the seventh day they should rest. The people did not believe the words of Moses and went out to collect on the seventh day and found none. Similarly, Moses asked them not to store the manna for the next day but collect it everyday for six days (Exodus 16:16). People did not believe the words of Lord and stored the manna for the next day and the manna bred worms and stank (Exodus 16:20). When the servant of God, whom God has ordained tells you something, it is wise to trust the words and not doubt them. Sometimes it may not make any sense at that time but you will understand the reason behind it later. We should first acknowledge that God is all powerful. It is said in the scripture that "the Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble. And he knows those who trust in him (Nahum 1:3). So, trust in him and he will take away your burdens and fill with the peace of mind which you have never known. He can give you a clear mind in the midst of all confusions. He can remove your disease and meet your financial needs. Above all, as said above, he is slow to anger and forgive all your sins no matter how big they are. Because Jesus loves you.

May the Lord bless you.
