"I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth " Exodus: 34:10 (KJV)
Will you stand in the gap?

"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one." Ezekiel 22:30

The Christian life is a struggle; it requires decision and effort. Our real enemy is not human flesh and blood, but the devil and his hosts. These rulers of the darkness of this age have so blinded the world to spiritual values that people cannot understand God or his will. The forces of evil are superhuman, but they are not all-powerful. God has adequate power for us. The verses given below vividly explain this:

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:10).

We are not left alone. God provides complete armor to protect us from all kinds of evil and temptation. The wiles of the devil are the result of superhuman craftiness, capable of drawing careless Christians into it. You should use the armor of God with all prayer and be more than conquerors through Jesus who has power over you.

Prayer is a prime armor. Prayers may take various forms: supplications – request for personal needs; intercessions – praying for the needs of other; giving thanks – thanking God for the blessings (I Timothy 2:1-4)

We are to pray for all people because God wants all to be saved. Before Him no one is an outcast. We should pray that all enjoy the blessings of God, such as love, peace and joy. We are to pray for our civil leaders whether Christian or not. They need wisdom to rule the country wisely and that corruption be eliminated from the land also that would know to control the internal conflicts and protect us from external forces. Because a quiet and peaceable life is one in which all of us can live in proper relationship with God and people.

We find in the Scriptures that Abraham, the intercessor, stood before the Lord pleading for the salvation of others (Genesis 18:20–27). Mosses stood before God in the breach and pleaded the Lord to turn away His wrath, lest he destroy them (Psalms 106:23).

Can you plead with God for the salvation of others? Is your prayer life become so self-centered that you are unable to pray for others. It is the duty of each and every Christian to pray their neighbors, friends, relatives, boss, and rulers. It is not enough if you alone know about God. You should be concerned about others. Praying for their deliverance would automatically deliver you from your problems. Job prayed for his friends and the Lord restored Job’s losses; indeed the Lord gave job twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10).

Will you begin to pray for others? If you do, you will see a difference in your life.

I sincerely pray to God that you may be given the spirit of intercessory prayer.

May the Lord bless you, your family and the efforts of your hands.
