"I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth " Exodus: 34:10 (KJV)

Where can I flee from your presence

"Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my anxieties. And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalms 139:23,24

God’s knowledge about men is vast and comprehensive yet it is so personal that he knows his every move. It is a great privilege for us that we worship a God who is interested in us. He is hurt if we do not give him the glory He deserves. Psalmists says, "Search me, O Lord, if there is any wicked way which might hurt you". We are responsible for our actions. Through our words and actions we should continuously glorify Him. God expects that we be a role model for others in words and actions.

Many are loose talkers. Given a chance they talk about anything and everything whether true or false. Baseless allegations are made against others and thrive on gossip. These gossipmongers harm others and themselves. We have to be careful about every word that is spoken. Because the Bible says, "For there is not a word on my tongue. But behold, O Lord, you know it altogether" (Psalms 139:4). The Lord knows every word even before they formed in our mouth. Bible says, "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement (Matthew 12:9)". Remember we are accountable of what we speak. Ask the Lord to give you grace to control your tongue.

Psalms 139:5, "you have hedged me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me", gives us a sense of security as well as responsibility. It says, He has surrounded us so that no one can come near us without His permission. Sometimes when we are cowed down by others, we think this will be the last day for me, but take courage in the Lord. Even Paul was feeling the same, when He was ministering for God, he said, "We are pressed on every side yet not crushed. We are perplexed but not in despair" (II Corinthians 4:8). He had hope in Christ. We should realize that the Lord is surrounding us and that no one can destroy us. At the same time, we should also understand that if God is surrounding us then we can never commit any sin behind his back. Most of us tend to keep the Lord in a far-off place, so, that they could get a leverage to sin. No my brothers and sisters, the Lord is watching over you therefore, resolve today to lead a holy life. Confess and forsake the daunting sin because secret sins are not secret to Him.

The Lord is concerned about you. This message is for those who think the Lord has forgotten them. He says "I the Lord, keep it, I water it every moment. Lest any hurt it". In this verse, He compares His people with vineyard which is tended carefully . Similarly, He desires to protect you from marauders. He has not forgotten you and His desire to bless you is unchanging. Psalms 139:12 says, "Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from you. But the night shines as the day. The darkness and the light are both alike to you." He knows your innermost thoughts and also thoughts of your enemies. Everything is open before Him. Hence, no one can harm you. Bible says, "He reveals deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness and light dwells with him" (Daniel 2:22). Therefore, you need not be afraid. You can boldly say, "Though I walk through the shadow of death, I fear no evil for thou are with me" (Psalms 23:4). What can man do to me?

"Arise and shine. For your light has come. And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you" (Isaiah 60:1). Jesus is here to bless you and your family and all the endeavours of your hand. All you need to do is submit yourself before Him and repent from your sins. Take vow to control your tongue, thoughts and every other evil deed. For where can we flee from His presence? Even if you ascend unto heaven, or take the wings of the morning or dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, yet the hand of the Lord shall grasp you. So, why not surrender our lives to Him and allow Him to lead us in the right path. In His presence you shall find joy and happiness.

May the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, and the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord rest upon you.

If you are blessed by this message kindly let us know, that we praise God together at pastor@indiabethel.org
