"I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth " Exodus: 34:10 (KJV)
Walking with the Lord

"Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away." Genesis 5:24

Enoch was a man of God who lived during the old testament days. The Bible says that he walked with God. The Lord loved him so much that he disappeared from the earth without experiencing death.

By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God (Hebrews 11:5).

Walking with God means trusting the Lord completely in everything and believing that God is there to avenge those who sin against him if they do not repent about their sins (Jude 14,15).

Walking with Lord will help us to stand firm in Christ no matter what our circumstances are.

Paul says, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?" (Romans 8:36-39). Neither death, nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation shall separate us from the love of Christ. Can you also say like that? Or do you say, why should I suffer, what have I done that only I have to bear all these? There is no use going to the church nor reading Bible or praying to God. If you stand firm in Christ without denying Him in the most critical situation, you shall be more than conquerors. You shall be rewarded in this life and in the life to come.

You may say that it was easy for Enoch to walk with Lord, but look at me I have a family, responsibilities and so on. Bible says, "Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters" (Genesis 5:22). Enoch also had family and children yet he walked with the Lord. Walking with Lord does not necessarily mean that you will have sit with a Bible in your hand or be on your knees all the time. It means that you will have to lead a righteous life be it in your home or office or anywhere. Others should testify that you are blameless.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God (Genesis 6:9).

When you walk with the Lord, He will take care of your needs. God knows that you need clothes, food, and all other amenities. The Lord shall provide all that for you. He will take care of your children when they are so far away from you. As a parent you can only worry about them, but the Lord shall be near them and when you pray for them and give them the comfort and support which you cannot.

What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him? (Deuteronomy 4:7)

Walking with God also means that you should not rob God. You wonder how?

Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, How do we rob you? In tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:8-10).

You should pay your tithes and offerings regularly to God without grudge but gladly then you shall see the way the Lord blesses your barns and household. You will never become poor by giving to God nor will the Lord become rich by your offerings. You give the Lord, so that He may bless you.

Enoch walked with God and he was taken away by God. Similarly, we shall also be taken away to meet the Lord in his glory.

Listen, I tell you a mystery, we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet (I Corinthians 15:51).

Are you ready to walk with the Lord?

May the Lord bless you.
