"I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth " Exodus: 34:10 (KJV)
Do not be envious of sinners

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off – Proverbs 23:17,18

Every month we eagerly wait for the word of God to speak to us. This month God expects you set aside the jealousy for the sinners. We grumble about many things about our neighbors. We are unable to bear when our friends prosper, when others earn more than us we feel jealous, when the children of the neighbors get married to good people we find it hard to accept and many times we think they do not deserve such good things in life. This month the Lord asks us to stop being jealous of our friends and neighbors. All you have to do is fear the Lord. You have a God who is greater than the world who can grant your wishes more than you can even think of. It is not your duty to estimate the righteousness of your neighbors. If you want to prosper fear the Lord and he will prosper you in everything you do.

Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 1:7). After accepting Christ as your savior and Lord you should learn to fear and reverence him always. Saying that I fear God too is not sufficient. Fearing God means to keep away from sin and to have a sharp conscience against sin. Do you strive to come out of bad habits? If not how do you say that you fear God and continue in your old sin? You are a liar and you are deceiving yourself.

To be prosperous in life you need wisdom. Bible says that fearing God will give you wisdom. If you lack in wisdom ask the Lord who gives to everyone who asks Him. Your children may not be studying well at school and you may think that there is no future for them, they will never come first in class. Bible says that if you fear God that will bring a change in your children’s life too. Many students have completed their exams and waiting for their results. You may think it is a tough and competitive world my son/daughter may never get a seat in the college/school or will never get through the interview for jobs. If you fear God and teach your children to fear God it can bring about a great change in their life. Do not lean on the left or the right side trust in Jesus alone he will bring a change in your life.

Psalmist says, "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers (Psalms 1:1-3).

Fearing the Lord prevents you from visiting place that God does not like and to sit in the company of the sinners. I do not drink alcohol but when my friends drink I only watch them drink, I need to be with them to retain their friendship. Do not cheat yourself. Sooner or later you will also be hooked into their company because satan is waiting like a roaring lion ready to devour anyone who would take a wrong step. Instead meditate on the words of the Lord day and night then whatever you do shall prosper.

Psalmist asks you to seek the Lord early in the morning. Are you able to spend time in the presence of the Lord early in the morning. Or do you start the day with tension as to what is going to happen in this day. Seeking the Lord early in the morning calms your nerves and gives you confidence. It helps you to think clearly and plan for the rest of the day.

You have wasted enough time by being jealous of the growth of your friends and neighbors. This month Lord is asking you to fear him to be blessed. Seek him early in the morning. Teach this to your children too. Only way to prosper is to fear the Lord.

May the Lord bless you and keep you safe until His coming.
