"I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth " Exodus: 34:10 (KJV)
Do not be afraid

And the Lord said to Joshua, "This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you – Joshua 3:7

And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever, the Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace." – Exodus 14:13,14

Moses was leading more than 600,000 people. When it was time, God took him away from the world. Now, it was Joshua’s responsibility to lead the people. Though people did grudge against him, he still enjoyed the confidence of the people as God was on his side. Despite being hand picked and groomed by Moses, Joshua is yet to prove his worth to the people. Joshua was not too sure whether he would be capable of leading this many people. Therefore to instill confidence in him, God said this day I shall honor you before the people.

The Lord is saying to everyone today who is reading this newsletter with trepidation in their heart for the added responsibility they are having. God says, Fear not you have a better weapon in your hands than anybody else who is fighting against you. What is it? That is the word of God. You get to hear the word of God by reading Bible. It is considered as the two edged sword. Moses had rod in his hand which God converted it to powerful weapon. In Exodus 4:20 we read that is considered as the rod of God. The magicians of Pharaoh feared it saying it is the finger of God (Exodus 8:19). All you have to do is learn to use the rod (word of God) effectively. Because you have God on your side, no enemy can defeat you. God says, "Fear thou not; for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am thy God I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness" – Isaiah 41:10.

He further reassures saying, "When you pass through the water, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned neither shall the flame kindle upon you" – Isaiah 43:2

Since you have all these wonderful promises, what do you fear about? Is it your boss, drunkard husband, suspicious wife, the competitor of your business, the other man/woman in your life. Do not fear if you walk in the ways of God, no one can stand before. Because the Lord will be fighting for you and the enemy shall see and fear you. When Egyptians chased Moses and his company, God covered them with water and they realized that God himself is fighting for Moses and his people.

And took off their chariot wheels, that they drove them heavily, so that the Egyptians said, let us flee from the face of Israel for the Lord fights for them and against the Egyptians - Exodus 14:25

Similarly, people who rise against you shall realize that you are a son/daughter of God and that it is futile to fight against you. So cheer up and praise God for his mercies and for the victory he is going to give you.

May the Lord bless you.
